The medieval Palazzo Maria of Cefalù, probably built by King Roger II in 1139 as his Domus Regia, is located on the Duomo Square of the picturesque town of Cefalù. The town is well known by the international traveller for the famous Arab-Norman Cathedral as well as for the long sandy beach, the marvellous rocky coast and the crystal clear sea. Nowadays the internal part of the Palazzo is completely restored and divided in different apartments. To maintain the traditional style of the Palace, the apartments are furnished by antique furniture. All the apartments offer you a high standard of comfort and are equipped with airconditioning and independent heating. You have access to the rooftop terrace, from which you will have a breath taken view on the Cathedral with its two towers, the sea with the Aeolian Isles and the imposing Rock.

From the Palazzo Maria you can reach the beach within minutes by feet. Once upon a time, the Palazzo housed the prison. Today you will find here a lovely restaurant and enoteca (wine shop), a symbol of traditional Sicilian cuisine. Cefalù is a good base for trips to Palermo, the capital of artistically and cultural heritage. A daily connection by hydrofoil gives you the opportunity to reach the Aeolian Isles, the seven beauties of Sicily. Cefalù is also part of the natural park ‘La Madonie’, the green paradise. For the passionate, within kilometres you will find a recent built innovative and beautiful Golf Course, which welcomes an international group of players.
